Mind & Machine Plano: AI for Business Leaders
AI in Banking: Can AI Make Banking More Human?
Thu, October 15, 2026 · 4:30 to 7:00 PM
II Brothers Grill & Bar, 8308 Preston Rd, Suite 198, Plano
Speakers: Chris Stringer, Joe Vaughan, Atira Moni. Moderator: Tim Mata
AI is already changing how banks prevent fraud, support employees, make decisions, and serve customers. Much of the conversation, however, focuses on efficiency. This panel will examine a more important question: Can AI help banks deliver a more responsive, personal, and trustworthy customer experience?
For consumers and businesses, banking is built on confidence, access, and human judgment. AI could help banks respond faster, personalize service, and equip employees to serve customers more effectively. It could also create new security risks, make important decisions harder to understand, and place additional barriers between customers and the people responsible for helping them.
Mind & Machine Fort Worth: AI for Business Leaders
Fort Worth’s premier AI networking group. Practical AI talks for business leaders, followed by real conversation with your peers.
Wed, November 4, 2026 · 4:30 to 7:00 PM
HopFusion Ale Works, 200 East Broadway Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104
Speaker and topic to be announced.
Mind & Machine Fort Worth is a community for entrepreneurs, owners, executives, and leaders who want to understand generative AI and use it to grow their businesses. We are the Fort Worth chapter of Mind & Machine, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built on one belief: AI works best when people stay at the center.
Each month, people who have done the work tell you how it went. They show you what they built, what it cost, and what broke along the way. Then the presentation ends and the most valuable hour of the night begins, when the room trades what worked and what didn’t.
What we cover
Topics change every month, and every one gets grounded in how you would put it to work in your own organization. Subjects include:
- AI and cybersecurity, including how to vet an AI vendor and protect your company from AI-driven attacks
- AI adoption, covering what is worth trying, what it takes, and how you know it’s working
- AI agents
- AI governance and policy
- AI in marketing
- AI in manufacturing and construction

A Conversation on AI Economics, FinOps & the Future of How We Build
Be where DFW decision-makers define their AI investments.
The companies shaping their AI strategy for 2027 are making decisions right now. This is the room where those conversations start.
The conversation is changing from:
“How do we use AI?”
to:
“What does AI actually cost, what value are we getting from it, and how do we build an operating model that can scale?”
As AI becomes embedded across the business, leaders are facing new questions around model consumption, agentic workloads, cloud costs, security, financial accountability, and infrastructure strategy.
Mind & Machine DFW and Southern Methodist University are bringing that conversation to Dallas.
This forward-looking event brings together executives, operators, investors, and practitioners who are thinking several moves ahead about the financial and operational architecture of AI.
We’ll explore questions including:
- How will AI budgets evolve as models become infrastructure?
- How should leaders measure AI ROI?
- What happens when agents consume resources at scale?
- Which workloads belong on large models versus smaller, specialized infrastructure?
- How can organizations control AI costs without sacrificing performance?
- What governance and financial frameworks should be built now?
This is the conversation to have before you need it.
Expect approximately 200 owners, operators, executives, technology leaders, investors, and practitioners from DFW and beyond.

Mind & Machine Plano: Can I Ask AI That?
What business leaders need to know about confidentiality, contracts, and consequences
Thu, November 19, 2026 · 4:30 to 7:00 PM
II Brothers Grill & Bar, 8308 Preston Rd, Suite 198, Plano
Panelists: Misty Leon, Candace Groth. Moderator: Alexandros Siskos
Your employees may already be using AI to review documents, prepare client work, answer legal questions, or record meetings. The question for business leaders is no longer simply whether to allow AI—it is how to use it without creating unnecessary legal, contractual, confidentiality, or business risk.
Join Mind and Machine DFW® for a practical, scenario-based panel discussion examining situations that small and midsize businesses are encountering today:
- A founder uploads a sensitive employment dispute to an AI tool before calling an attorney. Is that conversation confidential, privileged, or potentially discoverable?
- An employee allows an AI notetaker into a sensitive meeting. Who consented, where is the recording stored, and what happens when an inaccurate summary is distributed?
- A growing company uses AI throughout its operations but cannot clearly explain those practices during an investment or acquisition. Could weak policies, unclear contracts, or undocumented tools affect the transaction or the company’s value?
The panel will explore shadow AI, AI notetakers, confidential information, human review, vendor agreements, ownership of AI-generated work, and the practical controls SMBs can put in place without building an enterprise-scale compliance program.
